IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) spokesperson Munarman confirmed that FPI leader Muhammad Rizieq Shihab had undergone a COVID-19 swab test before returning to Indonesia from Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The results of the test showed that Rizieq was clear from the new coronavirus infection.

“He has been tested and alhamdulillah he is perfectly healthy,” said Munarman when contacted on Monday afternoon, November 9, 2020.

Munarman appealed to the public wishing to greet Habib Rizieq at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, to implement the predetermined health protocols. He also reminded the mass to maintain public order and to listen to officers’ directions.

“Sit neatly while waiting, keep your distance, wear a mask, obey traffic rules,” said Munarman.

On Wednesday, Rizieq announced he would return to Indonesia. In a live broadcast on FPI’s YouTube channel, he said he would depart for Indonesia from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Monday, November 9, 2020, at 19: 30 local time.
