Botuang Celebration to display bamboo arts and culture in Payakumbuh

Payakumbuh, W Sumatra – The upcoming Botuang Celebration in Payakumbuh, West Sumatra, will showcase various arts and culture motivated by bamboo, according to Ridha Ananda, Performing Mayor of Payakumbuh, on Sunday.

The celebration is arranged to take place on July 13-15, 2023.

“As the name recommends, this Botuang (bamboo) occasion will include various arts and cultural activities centered around bamboo,” he stated.

The celebration will include music and dance performances, an exhibition of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and other activities associated with bamboo.

The festival is part of West Sumatra ' s prominent tourism event, listed in the 110 Kharisma Occasion Nusantara (KEN) by the Ministry of Tourist and Creative Economy.

“This places the Botuang Celebration in Payakumbuh as one of the leading cultural arts events in West Sumatra that can be taken pleasure in by travelers,” said Ananda.

The mayor welcomed all celebrations, specifically travelers, to take part in this cultural arts occasion, which had been put on hold for many years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luhur Budianda, the Head of the West Sumatra Tourism Workplace, specified that the celebration adds to the advancement of the tourism sector in the area.

He pointed out that practically all districts and cities in West Sumatra have their own special tourism occasions in an effort to bring in more visitors.

The province ' s tourist sector is being rejuvenated this year under the See Beautiful West Sumatra 2023 Program.
