IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Indonesia has once again logged a growing number of Covid-19 cases. The national task force recorded 37,492 confirmed cases on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
The capital city of Jakarta has topped the list of regions contributing to the national case growth by logging 10,817 cases. Furthermore, West Java ranked as the second province logging the most number of cases with 9,042.
In third place is Banten with 5,138 cases, followed by East Java with 3,608 cases, and the last in the top five provinces is Bali with 2,425 people infected with the virus.
The total number of Covid-19 cases since it was first detected in 2020 has amounted to 4,580,093 cases, with 4,202,312 recoveries, and 144,719 deaths related to coronavirus infections.
