2 Suspects of Lobster Export Corruption Surrender to KPK

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Two suspects in the alleged corruption case in the export of lobster hatchlings, namely Andreu Pribadi Misata and Amiril Mukminin, surrendered themselves to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Andreu is a special staffer of the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Edhy Prabowo and the ministry’s chief executive of lobster cultivation business licensing team, while Amiril is a private party.

“Today at around 12: 00 WIB, the two suspects have cooperatively surrendered and came before investigators,” said the anti-graft body acting spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Amiril and Andreu were undergoing examination by investigators. Both have been named as suspects in the alleged graft case of lobster export along with five other people, including Edhy Prabowo.

Ali said that after Amiril and Andreu underwent the questioning, the agency would detain them by force. “Following the other five suspects after being apprehended in the early hours of November 25,” he explained.
