Rizieq Shihab Hospitalized in Bogor, PA 212 Confirms

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) frontman Rizieq Shihab was reportedly under treatment at a hospital in Bogor, West Java. Chairman of the 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212), Slamet Maarif, confirmed that since yesterday, Nov. 25, Rizieq was undergoing a medical checkup at Bogor UMMI Hospital.

Slamet told Tempo today, Nov. 26, via a short message that Rizieq had requested the medical examination himself. “Yesterday, IB HRS (Rizieq Shihab) visited UMMI Hospital asking for a general check-up,” he added.

According to Slamet, Rizieq was exhausted after joining various activities and interacting with thousands of congregants upon his arrival in Indonesia on November 10. Until now, he said, Rizieq is still at the UMMI Hospital for a rest.

However, Slamet assured that Rizieq is in good and healthy condition, adding that the FPI leader refused to receive any guests, including the FPI central board.

“Since the beginning, we have only known that he (Rizieq Shihab) is taking a total rest in a place and do not want to be bothered, and FPI officials and PA 212 are not allowed to meet him,” said Slamet.
