Lion Air Group Launches Two New Routes; Ternate-Surabaya and Manado-Makassar

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Lion Air Group opens two new routes, namely Surabaya-Ternate which will be served by Lion Air starting on November 23, and Manado-Makassar by Batik Air on November 20.

Lion Air Corporate Communications Danang Mandala Prihantoro, in a written statement on Saturday, Nov. 21, said the Surabaya-Ternate route will fly three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The JT-894 is scheduled to depart at 08: 30 western Indonesia time from Juanda Airport in Sidoarjo and is expected to arrive at 13: 15 central Indonesia time in Ternate’s Sultan Babullah Airport.

“On the same days, Lion Air’s JT-895 aircraft will serve flight from Ternate,” he said. The flight will depart from Sultan Babullah Airport at 14: 00 central Indonesia time and arrive at Juanda Airport at 14: 45 western Indonesia time.

Meanwhile, Batik Air will serve Manado-Makassar flight which will connect Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Maros, South Sulawesi, and Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado, North Sulawesi.

Batik Air CEO Capt. Achmad Luthfie said it is scheduled to fly once a day at 13: 00 central Indonesia time from Sultan Hasanuddin Airport and at 15: 40 from Sam Ratulangi Airport. The Airbus 320-200 will serve Batik Air’s passengers from Manado to Makassar and vice versa within around 1 hour and 40 minutes.
