Jakarta – Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas advised the Religious Affairs Ministry’s personnel to tighten up health protocols and end up being role models in their execution to avoid a significant spike in new cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia.

” The ranks of the Ministry of Religious Affairs must become good example in carrying out health protocols. Qoumas urged officials and all staff members at the ministry to coordinate with the COVID-19 managing task force in their particular areas. He likewise appealed for the plan of working from workplace and home to be adjusted to the local conditions.

The minister accentuated Direction Number 01 of 2021 on the Socialization Movement for the Implementation of Health Protocols (5M). The guidelines were addressed to high ranked authorities, rectors/chairmen of state spiritual universities, heads of provincial local workplaces and workplaces of the Religious Affairs Ministry in districts/cities, heads of madrasas, heads of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), spiritual counselors, and all state civil apparatus within the ministry.

On the whole, the direction advises the ministry’s state civil device to become good example in implementing 5M protocols in every activity within or outside the office. In addition, they need to be active in raising awareness and executing the discipline of health protocols within the work system.
