Sri Mulyani Urges Global Community to Unite in Post-pandemic Vaccination Period

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta Finance Minister Sri Mulyani on Monday’s B20 Saudi Arabia Summit asserts that the economically crippling global coronavirus pandemic forces countries to work together to reach a common goal.

“We are now entering the post-pandemic vaccination period which will need stronger partnerships,” said the former World Bank managing director on October 27. “Like it or not, [countries] will be forced to work together.”

She implied that the pandemic compels a global voluntary partnership and that such a situation will be beneficial as there are no other viable options for the global community. She also implied that the nature of this global crisis forces partnerships to be formed.

Sri Mulyani also said that in such a situation with grave urgency countries would either be forced by the situation or proactively establish new multilateralism and that countries must make sure that vaccine supplies can suffice for the need of the international community.
