IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi visited Papua Bangkit Stadium this morning, October 2, to monitor and inagurate a number of arena to be used for the 20th National Games Week in the region, or PON XX Papua 2021.
The president’s next destination was Abepura District, Jayapura, for a groundbreaking of Papua Youth Creative Hub. He was also scheduled to give directions to Regional Leaders Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Papua Province at the Papua Governor’s office.
At night, President Joko Widodo will officially open the 2021 PON XX Papua at Lukas Enembe Stadium, Jayapura. He would stay the night in Jayapura before continuing his visit the next day.
During the visit, Jokowi was accompanied by Investment Ministry/ BKPM head Bahlil Lahadalia, Military (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Presidential Secretariat head Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary Vice-marshal M. Tonny Harjono, Presidential Security Force Commander Maj.Gen Tri Budi Utomo, Press, Media, and Protocol deputy Bey Machmudin, as well as Presidential special staff Billy Mambrasar.
