IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi wishes all the Christians a Merry Christmas 2021. This is the second year Christmas is celebrated in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, where all the celebratory events are limited.
“Almost two years of the pandemic suffocating our lives, it is also two years my Christian brothers and sisters are going through Christmas Day within these limitations,” said the president through his social media account, Saturday, December 25.
Nevertheless, he hopes the public would understand that the restrictions must be executed as the efforts to prevent Covid-19 transmission. He wishes everyone welcomes Christmas with joy.
“I hope the pandemic will not diminish the joy of Christmas celebration with your loved ones,” Jokowi remarked.
