Jokowi Departs to Labuan Bajo Today for Working Visit

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo today, October 1, 2020, paid a working visit to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Upon his arrival in Labuan Bajo, he was greeted by NTT Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat.

This is the president’s fifth visit to Labuan Bajo in the last two years. He also visited Kampung Ujung, Waecicu, and Goa Batu Cermin or Mirror Rock Cave.

After the series of visits, he inspected the construction project of the multi-function terminal in Labuan Bajo. Jokowi then distributed working capital credit assistance to micro and small business entrepreneurs and headed straight to Komodo Airport to go back to Jakarta.

Officials accompanying the president during the work visit were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Suharyanto, Presidential Security Team or Paspampres Commander Maj. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak, and Presidential Special Staffer Ari Dwipayana.

The head of public relations and regional secretariat of East Nusa Tenggara, Marius Ardu Jelamu, said that based on the health protocols against Covid-19, state officials accompanying President Jokowi, including NTT Governor and West Manggarai Regent, were obliged to pass the virus swab test.

“As the agenda scheduled, the President only made a one-day working visit in Labuan Bajo. After inspecting several projects, he immediately returned to Jakarta,” said Marius as quoted from Antara.
