Jokowi Arrives in Abu Dhabi to Meet UAE Crown Prince

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo a.k.a. Jokowi continues his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after attending COP26 Summit in Glasgow, Scotland.

Upon landing in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, Jokowi was welcomed by UAE’s Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazroui. Accompanying the President is Indonesian Ambassador for UAE, Husin Bagis along with Farida Husin Bagis and Indonesia Defense Attache to Riyadh, Brig. Gen. Erlangga.

UAE is the third country visited by Jokowi in his overseas visits after Italy and Scotland. During his time in Abu Dhabi, Jokowi was accompanied by four ministers. They are Coord. Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto; Coord. Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan; Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi; State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir; and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung.

According to initial plan, Jokowi will meet the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) in Abu Dhabi and will hold a meeting with several figures and businessmen.

Jokowi‘s activities in Abu Dhabi mostly consisted of cooperation meetings especially in trade and investments.
