IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, in the Asia Pacific business forum promised the completion of the omnibus law on job creation (UU Cipta Kerja) will be done quickly for the benefit of the business sector.
“The government is currently completing the omnibus law’s regulatory implementations, which will be done as soon as possible,” said Jokowi on APEC CEO Dialogues virtual event in Jakarta, Thursday, November 19.
He believes the regulatory and bureaucracy reform will be able to lift Indonesia’s economy and called for businesses and company leaders in Asia Pacific to utilize the opportunities made available by the job creation omnibus.
“I invite CEOs and business owners in the Asia Pacific to use this chance that the omnibus law has made available,” said the President.
As the controversies surrounding the omnibus on job creation have dwindled, coordinating minister of economics secretary Susiwijono Moegiarso explained that the government has prepared a program that would help dissect the program to a broader capacity.
