IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Coordinating Ministry of Economy secretary, Susiwijono, in Thursday’s virtual discussion said the government is completing 44 derivative regulations from the omnibus law on job creation, which will take form as drafts on 40 government regulations and 4 presidential regulations.
The draft, said Susiwijono, will be able to be downloaded by the public in an online portal specifically for the job creation law. As of Thursday, November 19, there are 29 draft regulations that can be downloaded on https://uu-ciptakerja.go.id/.
“We are eyeing to have them all available for downloads by the end of this month, so people can provide input. We can discuss it together with the government and stakeholders,” said Susiwijono.
The government claims the job creation law, which was met with strong public rejection, will bridge between COVID-19 mitigation programs with structural reform. “It’s currently felt by 29.12 million productive-age citizens.”
The ministry also claims that it can act as Indonesia’s post-pandemic safety net and provide people with job opportunities, which will increase people’s purchasing power.
