Jakarta Allows Non-Residents to Get Covid-19 Vaccines

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Jakarta has now given access to Covid-19 vaccines for people who do not have the city’s ID Card. People can directly visit the vaccination center or register via the city’s mobile app Jakarta Kini or JAKI.

Meanwhile, residents of non-Jakarta and non-Bodetabek must still present a work statement from their offices that operate in the capital.

Previously, many people complained about the difficulties to get the vaccine as they are obliged to complete various documents, including a domicile statement. 

The Health Ministry’s spokesperson for the Covid-19 vaccination, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, explained the domicile statement is needed by the government for accountability purposes in vaccine spendings. Besides, the Covid-19 vaccine distribution is still based on the population number of a province until date.
