IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, highlighted the increasing rate of Covid-19 infections in four provinces. The four provinces are West Sumatra, Riau, East Kalimantan and Papua.
” In these 4 provinces, the [transmission rate] increased by 7 percent; from 13.4 percent throughout 9-15 September, to 20.5 percent during 14-20 October,” Luhut stated during a virtual conference on Covid-19 control efforts, Wednesday, October 21.
Luhut, who is likewise the Deputy Chair of the Covid-19 Control Policy and National Economic Healing Committee, asked related authorities to pay special attention to the four provinces.
He stated that the involvement of the TNI and Polri was rather reliable in suppressing the spread of Covid-19, such as what occurred in East Java, as their participation led to modifications in people’s habits.
” We hope that provinces with high cases can carry out the same [policies] as East Java. Cooperation in between guvs, authorities chiefs, local military leaders and regional health departments is extremely crucial,” said Luhut
