Ex Minister Susi Pudjiastuti to Receive Award from President Jokowi

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law, and Security Mahfud MD on Thursday announced that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will be awarding titles and honors to over 30 people during the commemoration of the National Heroes Day this November.

Mahfud noted that award recipients will include former state officials such as former maritime affairs and fisheries minister Susi Pudjiastuti and retired Armed Forces (TNI) Commander Gatot Nurmantyo.

“A plethora of people will be receiving the honorary awards, there will likely be 30 people,” Mahfud MD revealed on November 5. “Those include Susi Pudjiastuti. She’s a critical person and will be honored too.”

Other state officials that will receive the honors include Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

Mahfud MD said that this award ceremony was initially planned to be held during Indonesia’s Independence Day back in August. It had to be postponed to November as at the time, Jokowi focused more on awarding numerous institutions and medical workers.
