Doctors Association to be Indonesia’s First Vaccine Recipient

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI) stated that they are ready to turn into one of the first receivers of the Covid-19 vaccine, after obtaining approval for use from the regulatory body. Daeng M. Faqih, chairman IDI Board of Executives, stated that IDI supports and values the vaccination program that the government will run.

Daeng stated that IDI members are prepared to accept Covid-19 vaccination program from the government, after the vaccine obtains a license to use from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM).

He stated that as a physicians association IDI can act as a good example for the general public to accept the vaccination, and reinforce public confidence in the government’s vaccination program.

” If the President says that he is prepared to be the amongst the very first to be injected with the vaccine, IDI is too. As a role model we are likewise happy to be among the first,” he stated.

Daeng asserted that vaccines are among the important methods to stop the pandemic. Nevertheless, he reminded the public to continue practicing health procedures as a preventive step.
