BPIP Proposes 15 Books of Pancasila Education to President Jokowi

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Pancasila Ideology Education Agency (BPIP) submitted a proposal of 15 textbooks on the country’s ideology to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. The agency demanded the books be included in the school curriculum.

“It is now in the hands of the President for approval,” said the BPIP chairman Yudian Wahyudi in Meulaboh of West Aceh Regency, Sunday, November 14.

He said the books will be one of the references for the national civic education, as well as a mandatory and special subject in Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Kindergarten (TK), Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), Senior High School (SMA), and higher education or universities.

To date, BPIP is still waiting for President Jokowi’s approval regarding the use of the books.

The 15 books, Yudian went on, will later be regulated in Government Regulation (PP) No. 57 of 2021 concerning changes in national education standards. “Let’s just wait for the PP, wait for the president to sign it,” he said.
