IDNEWSNOW.COM, Bogor – Bogor Health Agency along with the 0621 Bogor Military Command (Kodim) held massive Covid-19 tests for residents of Kuta and Sukagalih Villages, Megamendung, following the crowd in the FPI leader Rizieq Shihab’s event.
“We also provide swab tests if there are people found to be reactive [to the virus],” said Bogor Secretary Burhan in a statement on Thursday night, November 19, 2020.
Cisarua Military Commander (Koramil) May. Gen. Aris Nazarudin Latif explained that 150 residents joined the test held in Sukagalih Village and four of them got reactive results, while in Kuta Village, one of 64 residents passing the test was reactive.
“Out of 214 people who joined the rapid tests, five were reactive,” said Aris, adding that they immediately passed swab tests, and the results will come back in the next two to three days.
The massive test was established to anticipate the emergence of Covid-19 new clusters following a recent event in the area that attracted a large crowd.
Burhan asserted that the government was still implementing social restrictions so that people are appealed to protect themselves by avoiding crowds and complying with the predetermined health protocol.
Bogor Health Agency Head, Mike Kaltarina, said that her side prepared 1,000 rapid test kits for the two villages. However, the tests were not for the villagers only. “The tests are for anyone, not just the congregation [of Rizieq Shihab],” Mike said.
