IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Bandung City Administration held the rapid antigen test for the occupants of three hotels in the city on Saturday, December 26, in an effort to contain Covid-19 transmission during the 2020 Christmas and 2021 New Year holidays.
“We did [the test] randomly. We’ll evaluate later,” she said.
Bandung Health Department head, Ahyani Raksanaga, said the tests were done at Aryaduta Hotel, Four Points Hote, and Best Western La Grande Hotel.
Besides, the rapid antigen test will also be held at several tourist destinations. The decision was made after the city set regulations for tourists to bring antigen test results when visiting destinations in Bandung.
“The visitors must show negative results of rapid antigen test 3×24 hours prior to their visit to Bandung,” Ahyani said.
However, she called on the people of Bandung or visitors from outside the city to think twice before deciding to go on vacations, as she said that the surge of Covid-19 cases was caused by the high mobility of the people after long holidays. Ahyani reminded people to implement strict health protocols.
