Angkasa Pura I Serves 1.7mn Passengers in 15 Airports

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Indonesian airport operator Angkasa Pura I (AP I), throughout February 2021, served 1.7 million passengers in its 15 airports with 24,193 flights and 32,639 kg cargo.

“The highest number of passengers in February was at Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar airport with 452,117 people, followed by Juanda Surabaya Airport with 340,519 passengers,” said AP I Vice President, Handy Heryudhitiawan, in a press statment released in Jakarta, Saturday, March 6.

The third highest traffic was at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport with 184,334 passengers. Meanwhile, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport served 157,172 passengers in February.

The firm applies the tight health measures in its airports to help suppress the number of Covid-19 infection. But it hopes that the health protocols implementation would not decrease the convenience and comfort of the passengers at Angkasa Pura I airports.

On February 18, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport optimized its daily operational to 13 hours from 07: 00 to 20: 00 local time. It was previously operated from 07: 00 to 23: 00.
