Members of the general public throughout the nation have been left puzzled by health protocol policies issued by authorities, specifically concerning making use of face masks in private automobiles.

A motorcyclist in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta became angered on Thursday when authorities stopped her for not using her mask properly.
She declined to be approved as she claimed she only pulled down her mask momentarily to call her son, so she could speak more plainly.

On Monday, the National Authorities introduced a nationwide operation, called Operasi Yustisi, to crack down on health protocol lawbreakers. The police were complying with the Indonesian Military and regional public order agencies (Satpol PP).

I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara, the head of the Badung Satpol PP in Bali, said lots of foreign travelers were upset when authorities penalized them for not using a mask while riding or driving.

Bali Gubernatorial Policy No. 46/2020 on COVID-19 health protocols does not state a requirement for drivers or riders to use a mask while driving or riding their automobiles.
