Jakarta – The Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Kid Defense said it completely supports the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Innovation’s Regulation (Permendikbudristek) Number 30 of 2021 on Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education.
” In reacting to this emergency scenario of sexual violence, I, Bintang Puspayoga, and all ranks of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Kid Security totally support the issuance of the ministerial policy concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in Higher Education,” Women’s Empowerment and Kid Security Minister Bintang Puspayoga remarked throughout an online discussion coming from here on Friday.
The minister affirmed that sexual violence frequently happens in the university environment and considerably affects the victims, both mentally and physically.
She stated the ministerial guideline can assist boost her ministry’s efforts to protect ladies and children in the country, stating it is the ideal regulation to avoid, manage, and lower the danger of repeating sexual violence on campus.

Minister Puspayoga pointed to a number of inequalities that still exist and explained ladies and children as a vulnerable group. Sexual violence is among the issues that threaten their lifestyle, she included.
She said she hoped there would be collaboration from all levels of society in implementing the regulation to make higher education institutions places that support self-reliance, construct civilization, and encourage progress to accomplish Advanced Indonesia.
