Ministry drafts roadmap for Indonesia Digital 2021-2024

Jakarta – The Communication and Informatics Ministry has drafted a roadmap for Indonesia Digital 2024 in 4 strategic sectors.

” In broad lines, the roadmap for Indonesia Digital 2021-2024 clarifies the direction of policies to carry out and accomplish the target of Indonesia’s digital change in four strategic sectors,” Interaction and Informatics Minister, Johnny G Plate, stated during a working conference with Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) here on Monday.

The four tactical sectors are digital infrastructure, digital administration, digital economy, and digital neighborhood, he informed.

He stated the solution of the roadmap has included the partners of the Interaction and Informatics Ministry, including ministries and government organizations along with agents of the economic sector and the community.

A draft of the roadmap has been submitted to President Joko Widodo for additional regulations before it is made public, Plate exposed.

The roadmap for Indonesia Digital 2021-2024 was created based on five directives from the President in relation to accelerating the digital transformation in the nation, he added.

The Governmental regulations were equated into 4 tactical instructions, which were later on categorized into 4 tactical sectors, he said.

The tactical directives in each of the sectors were later broken down into more particular strategic initiatives to assist their implementation in the future, he added.
