Military wards off Rohingya refugees’ attempt to flee camp in Aceh

Banda Aceh, Aceh – The North Aceh District Armed force Command foiled an attempt of 14 Rohingya refugees to flee a temporary refugee camp at the employment training center in Meunasah Mee Kandang Town, Muara Dua Sub-district, Lhokseumawe, early Friday.

3 of the eight believed members of the human trafficking ring are recognized by their initials as DA, ZA, and JR. DA is a resident of Medan, North Sumatra; ZA is a Rohingya immigrant residing in Medan; and JR is a local of Aceh Tamiang.

” JR is believed to be the chauffeur of a rented automobile to be utilized to help DA and ZA transfer the Rohingya refugees,” he exposed.

Military workers also detained the other suspected members of the human trafficking ring identified by their initials as AM and SA, and SR and SU, respectively married couples, and P, AM’s younger brother-in-law.

Early today, we detained two groups of suspected members of a human trafficking ring. It is believed that the 2 groups do not understand each other,” he mentioned.

Krisyanto kept in mind that the eight thought members of the human trafficking ring and 14 Rohingya refugees were transferred to the Lhokseumawe City Cops for additional examination.
