BMKG employee summoned over alleged graft case at sugar mill

Jakarta – The Corruption Elimination Commission (KPK), Tuesday, summoned a staff member of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Firm (BMKG) as witness in an alleged graft case on procurement of 6 roll mills at the Djatiroto sugar mill.

” Today, (the KPK) is arranged to question a witness in the procurement and setup of 6 roll mills at the Djatiroto sugar mill owned by state plantation company PT Perkebunan Nusantara XI throughout the 2015-2016 period. The witness, determined as Andri Ramdhan, is chief of the maritime meteorology details sub-division at the BMKG,” acting spokesman for KPK Ali Fikri noted in a composed statement released on Tuesday.

The KPK is examining the alleged graft case at the sugar mill.
