Authorities, Military conduct significant joint patrol with TNI in Jakarta

Jakarta – The Jakarta Police’s Traffic Directorate held a significant joint patrol along with personnel of the Indonesian Defence Forces (TNI) here on Saturday morning.

The joint patrol was led by Deputy Director of the Jakarta Authorities’s Traffic Directorate Adjunct Senior Commissioner (AKBP) Hari Purnomo, the Jakarta Police tweeted on its Twitter account @TMCPoldaMetro.

Patrol activities, which commenced at 22: 40 Western Indonesian Basic Time, were marked by a joint roll call at the Jakarta Cops Head Office.

” Deputy Director of the Jakarta City Jaya Police’s Traffic AKBP Hari Purnomo, S.I.K., S.H led the implementation of the joint massive military-police patrol at the City Jaya Regional Authorities Head office,” according to the statement on @TMCPoldaMetro.

Representative of the Jakarta City Jaya Authorities Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus had actually previously mentioned that the activity was focused on reinforcing synergy in local security between the Authorities and TNI.

” Its nature is preventive by holding a large-scale joint patrol in between the TNI and Authorities, particularly the Jakarta Regional Armed Force Command and the Jakarta Police. Later, the Indonesian Army’s Armed force Cops Central Command named 29 soldiers as suspects for their alleged participation in the current attack on the Ciracas police station in which 2 police officers and a TV team suffered injuries.

In connection with this incident, as of Thursday, 51 army personnel were interrogated, of which 29 were called suspects and apprehended, Leader of the Army’s Armed force Police Central Command (Puspomad), Lt. Gen. Dodik Widjanarko, specified.

The military cops detectives continued their probe to uncover the case, he said.
