Komnas HAM ‘still gathering evidence’ over deadly shooting in Intan Jaya

The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) has not considered forming an advertisement hoc committee to investigate a recent shooting of Papuan pastor Yeremia Zanambani and is concentrating on collecting evidence, regardless of calls from Amnesty International. Komnas HAM commissioner Beka Ulung Hapsara stated that, due to a lack of strong evidence, the commission had not had the ability to draw a conclusion yet on the event, which happened in Hitadipa district, Intan Jaya regency. “We are currently still intensively collecting information and truths from the occasions that occurred,” Beka informed The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
