Rapid Test Sexual Harassment Suspect on the Run, Police Say

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta Jakarta Metro Police announced on Thursday that EFY – suspect of a sexual harassment case during a rapid test session – has fled his home and dorm room as police were set to arrest him on Wednesday.

Police presumed that EFY disappeared after knowing his case had gone viral on social media. However, the suspect is not listed as the institution’s fugitives.

“We are hunting down the suspect after finding his dorm room was empty, so was his house,” said Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson Sr. Commissioner Yusri Yunus on September 24.

“Hopefully the suspect takes responsibility for his actions and arrives at the police station.”

Police had named EFY as a suspect in the sexual harassment case which he committed during a rapid test at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The suspect is facing multiple criminal charges with a maximum of 9-year imprisonment.
