Presidential Staff Office Spills Budget Plan; Denies Ties to Buzzers

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) secretariat, Yan Adikusuma, on Thursday defended that it is impossible for the staff office to recruit ‘buzzers’ as he claimed the KSP does not have the budget to fund such programs.

Out of the entire KSP budget of Rp86,760,233,000, the institution only holds Rp4,395,217,000 to fund operations across five KSP deputies, which is roughly Rp800 million for each deputy.

“The allocated budget we receive to conduct [operations] are only Rp4 billion to manage national priorities, some for strategic issues, political communication, and information dissemination on five deputies,” said Adikusuma at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex on Thursday, September 4.

However, he did mention that the budget used by the KSP is used to invite influencers in discussions regarding the KSP’s functions but maintained that the majority of its budget (Rp39.7 billion) was allocated to pay the wage of KSP’s over 200 human resources.

The Presidential Staff Office was recently hit with a scandal alleging them of using the services of ‘buzzers’ to disseminate the government’s programs.
