President Jokowi to Inaugurate Yogyakarta International Airport Today

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo was scheduled to inaugurate Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in Kulon Progo Regency today, August 28.

The State Head and the entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at around 08: 30 a.m. boarding the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1.

The air trip approximately takes one hour to Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo Regency. “The President will inaugurate YIA Airport that is equipped with Indonesia’s AirNav tower and a tsunami early warning system,” as quoted from the statement released by the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretary on Friday, August 28.

After Friday Prayers, the President was also scheduled to deliver the social assistance for micro-enterprises at Gedung Agung, the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace.

State officials accompanying President Jokowi were State Secretary Minister Pratikno, SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Presidential Secretariat Head Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Suharyanto, and Presidential Security Commander Maj. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak.
