Pertamina Covid-19 Emergency Hospital Equipped with Delivery Room

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Pertamina has reportedly operated its Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in Simprug, South Jakarta, providing three facilities for the coronavirus disease or Covid-19 treatment in three locations.

Previously, the state oil and gas company converted Pertamina Jaya Hospital and fields of Patra Comfort Hotel into the first Covid-19 referral hospital and emergency hospital.

Pertamina CEO Nicke Widyawati said the extension of the Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) is equipped with supporting facilities and medical treatment for Covid-19 patients, such as operating rooms, delivery rooms, NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) rooms, and dialysis units.

“[During the current outbreak,] it is difficult for pregnant women who are positive for Covid-19 to deliver their babies as no hospital will accept them. After the delivery, the mother must be separated from the baby. Or for Covid-19 patients with kidney failures who need dialysis treatment. It’s hard to find a dialysis center [for Covid-19 patients],” said Nicke via a message, Thursday, June 11.

Pertamina Covid-19 Emergency Hospital is built on a soccer field of 22,700 square meters and has 300 beds, consisting of 240 non-ICU beds, 31 ICU beds, 19 HCU beds, and 10 IGD beds. All the rooms are equipped with negative pressure and HEPA filter so that the air released outside the hospital remains safe for the environment.

Nicke Widyawati added that Pertamina built the facilities under the hospital standards in general, starting from the doctors’ room, nurses’ room, nurse station, laboratories (PCR, Hematology, AGD), pharmaceutical installation, nutrition center, screening installation, radiology room, operating room, to decontamination room.
