New Normal Innovation Competition; Central Java Clinches Rp7bn

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo has received an incentive fund worth Rp7 Billion as a prize for winning a regional innovation competition related to the new normal order organized by the Home Affairs Ministry.

Central Java won three awards for three sectors, viz. the Best Province I for the public transportation sector, the Best Province I for the tourist attractions sector, and the Best Province III for the PTSP (one-stop integrated service) sector.

The Best Winner I for each sector receives an award and an incentive fund of Rp3 billion, the Best II winner gets Rp2 billion, and the Third Winner snatches Rp1 billion. As a result, Ganjar managed to bring Rp7 billion for his region.

“The total Regional Incentive Fund (DID) that we gave was Rp164 Billion for 84 winners in 4 clusters and 7 sectors, namely traditional markets, modern markets, hotels, restaurants, PTSP, tourist attractions, and public transportation,” said Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian in his office on Monday, June 22.

Tito hoped the incentive fund could spark the enthusiasm of local governments to create innovations and breakthroughs towards a new normal life.

Besides Central Java, other provinces that also won the competition include East Java, the Best Province I for the modern market sector, and the Best II for the tourism sector. The prize was taken directly by Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa at the Home Affairs Ministry Office.

Lampung province also won three awards: the Best I for the restaurant sector, the Best III for the traditional market sector, and the Best II for the modern market sector. South Sulawesi received three awards:the Best II for the traditional market sector, the Best III for the hotel sector, and the Best III for the tourist areas sector.
