Metro Jaya Police’s Major Confiscation of Illegal Drugs Incinerated

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Metro Jaya Police on Thursday, November 12, has destroyed hundreds of kilograms of confiscated illegal drugs from the 14-day police operation dubbed the Operation Nila which was held from October 19 – November 2. 

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Nana Sudjana said that the drugs were destroyed to “prevent misuse of items of evidence.” The illegal drugs were destroyed using an incinerator.

Those destroyed include 190 kilograms of crystal meth, 265 kilograms of marijuana, 9,300 extacy pills, 8.16 kilograms of gorilla tobacco, 572 ‘happy five’ pills, 18.51 kilograms of ecstasy powder, and 193 pills of other origins.

Police managed to arrest 330 suspects during the Operation Nila with most of them consisting of drug dealers.
