K-pop star Yohan of band TST dies aged 28

Yohan last posted a photo of himself at the beach on Instagram on May 31, with the caption: ‘I want to travel.’ (yohanee0416/ Instagram via The Straits Times/File).

K-pop star Yohan, a member of kid band TST, died on Tuesday (June 16) aged 28.

The reason for his death is unidentified.

Yohan, whose real name is Kim Jeong-hwan, made his launching with boy band NOM.

Yohan’s death shocked much of his fans as he was active on social networks in current months. He last published a picture of himself at the beach on Instagram on May 31, with the caption: “I wish to travel.”

Stars and netizens have commemorated him online.

South Korean singer Lee Kiseop wrote in a talk about Yohan’s post: “I love you a lot, Yohan … I miss you.”

On the other hand, Instagram user artskeez wrote: “He constantly had an excellent state of mind and the joy of living and he enjoyed life to accomplish his dreams.

Yohan’s wake is being held at the Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul, according to broadcaster SPOTV, which broke the news on his death.

His funeral will be hung on Thursday, and he will be buried at the Yongin Catholic Park Cemetery.
