Jusuf Kalla: Personal Covid-19 Vaccination Will Expedite Govt’ Program

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Chairman Jusuf Kalla, also referred to as JK, voiced assistance to the central federal government’s plan to enable personal Covid-19 vaccination as revealed by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin. JK stated that the plan will expedite the government’s vaccination program.

” We are supporting the vaccination program, whether it runs individually or in mutual cooperation because this will accelerate the vaccination. To finish the program in one year, it will a minimum of require 1 million dosages of vaccine per day, which is impossible to be done by the federal government alone,” stated JK in a composed declaration on Friday, January 29,2021

The former vice president restated that personal vaccination programs mean a private business provides vaccines for their staff members. If the plan is carried out successfully, the firm might return to its regular operation and be financially recovered from the pandemic soon, Kalla added.

In addition, working together with the personal sector could reduce the concern of the federal government and help poor communities.

” For example, a cigarette factory has up to 25,000 workers, if the vaccine is covered by the business itself, it will be free and reduce the concern of the federal government and the people,” Jusuf Kalla stated.
