Jokowi’s Message on Chinese New Year: Hope Must Remain

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wished a happy Chinese New Year through the social media account Instagram @jokowi, Tuesday, February 1, 2022. In his post, the head of state said that in difficult times like today, hope must remain.

“Challenges and tests come and go, but humans have been equipped with strength, courage, and ability to face them. That’s why, in these difficult times, we keep all lanterns of hope flying,” said President Jokowi.

The President hopes that luck, love, and health will always accompany the nation’s steps. “Gong Xi Fa Cai,” he said.

The upload on the social media account was accompanied by an animated video releasing lanterns into the air. Under the lantern hung a paper written with hope.

The writing on the paper is “May our shared dreams and hopes come true”. The video ends with the words Happy Chinese New Year with the name of President Joko Widodo.
