Jokowi to Disburse 2021 Productive Aid for Micro Businesses Today

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo announced that the distribution of the productive presidential aid for micro-scale enterprises would kick off Friday, July 30. The launching event was symbolically held today at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

The government had allocated Rp15.36 trillion for the social assistance program in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This will be given to 12.58 million micro and small business actors throughout the country. And it will start to be disbursed today. We hope this can help boost our economy,” said the President as broadcasted on Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, Friday.

The first stage of the presidential aid had been delivered for two periods at once, January-March and May-June. Based on the Cooperatives and SMEs Ministry’s official statement published on its social media, there were 9.8 million recipients of the program in January-June 2021. The total budget amounted to Rp11.76 trillion.

At present, a total of Rp3.6 trillion will be disbursed for the second stage from July to September to 3 million recipients. Similar to the previous stage, each micro business registered as the recipient will receive Rp1.2 million.
