Jokowi Inaugurates Pasar Rumput Low-Cost Flat Today

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inaugurated a low-cost apartment or Rusun Pasar Rumput in South Jakarta, Monday, September 20, 2021.

“This morning I inaugurated Rusun Pasar Rumput along with the kiosks and the facilities,” said the President on Monday, September 20, 2021.

The former governor of Jakarta said the construction of the project began in 2016 with a cost of around Rp970 billion. “This low-cost flat is special because it was not built for residential purposes only with 36-type 1,984 units on the 4th to 25th floors, but also for the market with hundreds of kiosks on the 1st and 2nd floors,” he said.

In addition, the low-cost flat was also equipped with social and public facilities. According to him, the existence of markets, social facilities, and public facilities were hoped to ease and provide conveniences for residents in carrying out economic activities, such as trading.

“This Rusun Pasar Rumput is also special because it is also supported by excellent transportation routes that are integrated with Transjakarta, making it easier for residents to mobilize,” said Jokowi.
