Jakarta Sees Drop in Health Protocol Violations in Transitional PSBB

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Jakarta Transportation Agency recorded a decrease in violations of the Covid-19 health protocols committed by motorcycle riders during the transitional Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) on October 12-25, 2020.

The agency head Syafrin said that the drop in the protocol violations during the police’s Yustisi Operation was evident from the comparison of the violation number in the PSBB volume II and the first transitional PSBB.

“A total of 1,294 violations were recorded throughout the Yustisi Operation during the Transitional PSBB,” said Syafrin in a written statement on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

Of the figure, 122 violators were subjected to social sanctions, 20 violators were charged with administration fines, and 1,254 people received a warning. “The fine is collected up to Rp2,425,000,” Syafrin added.

Meanwhile, violations of the Covid-19 health protocol that occurred during the PSBB from September 14 to October 11 reached 6,752. In detail, 6,328 violators were given a warning, 2,411 individuals were obliged to carry out social sanctions, and 319 people were fined. The total collection of the fine reached Rp48,415,000.

“We obtain the data from Jakarta Metro Police,” said Syafrin.
