Jakarta Logs 1,059 More Covid-19 Cases Today

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The number of people contracting Covid-19 in Jakarta has again increased by 1,059 on Wednesday, September 30. The city’s Health Agency Head of Disease Prevention and Control, Dwi Oktavia, said today’s PCR tests found 953 new infections.

“There are also accumulated data of 106 infections from September 29 that have been just reported,” said Dwi in a written statement, Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

She said the city administration conducted PCR tests on 9,341 specimens. Of these, 7,523 people were tested and 953 turned back positive for the virus.

The new confirmed cases pushed the city’s current tally to 74,368. Dwi outlined that 12,317 patients were still being treated or isolated, 1,731 patients succumbed to the disease, and 60,320 people have made full recovery. 

Therefore, the virus positivity rate this week reached 10.3 percent. “The recovery rate stands at 81.1 percent, and the death rate is 2.3 percent,” she added.
