Internet Data Plan Aid Distributed to 26.6mn Recipients

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta The Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry has once again distributed the government aid in the form of internet data plans for 26.6 million educators and students. Indonesia is still implementing remote learning mixed with on-site learning at schools amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The internet data plan aid in October will be given to both teachers and students from early childhood education (PAUD) up to higher education.

“The data plan has been sent to mobile phone numbers that have been verified and validated as govt aid recipients,” said the Education Minister Nadiem Makarim in a written statement on October 12.

In September, the Ministry handed internet data plans for 24.4 million users. This month, there are more mobile phone numbers that are verified to be rightful aid recipients.

The Head of Data Center and Information Technology, M. Hasan Chabibie, reminded the school and university management to constantly update mobile phone numbers eligible for the aid that are filed in the government’s database.
