IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Indonesia’s Health Ministry recorded 63,956 new cases of Covid-19 over the last 24 hours. With the addition, Indonesia has now logged more than 5.03 million cases of Covid-19.
Authorities also reported 206 deaths related to Covid-19 as of noon today, February 17. To date, the new coronavirus has taken the lives of 145,828 people.
In the last 24 hours, 39,072 more people recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number up to 4,414,306.
West Java recorded the most daily cases with 16,251 followed by East Java with 8,977 cases. Jakarta is in the third spot with 8,536 logged cases.
A few days ago, Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that Jakarta has passed its peak infection period and the number of daily cases will continue to decline.
