IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The government’s spokesman for the Covid-19 mitigation, Achmad Yurianto, reported 1,043 new confirmed cases today, June 9. By the figure, the country’s total coronavirus infection has now reached 33,076.
“The additional figure is not evenly found across Indonesia,” said Yurianto in a press conference via the BNPB’s Youtube account on Tuesday.
Yurianto outlined that the highest number of new cases was found in Jakarta at 232, bringing the total tally to 8,355 cases. However, 165 patients have been declared cured today.
Following the capital, East Java recorded 220 new cases, adding the total positive cases to 6,533. South Sulawesi also reported 180 new cases, taking the total to 2,194.
Meanwhile, South Kalimantan recorded 91 new cases and North Sulawesi 41 new cases, bringing their total to 1,438 and 551, respectively.
