Indonesia Logs 40,489 COVID-19 Cases on February 11

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta Indonesia has logged 40,489 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, February 11. The figures are slightly lower than the daily cases recorded in the past two days where February 10 logged 40,618 and February 9 recorded 46,843 cases. 

The official report from the COVID-19 task force also suggested recoveries have increased to 15,767 cases while those who perished were 100. Active cases were recorded at 312,808 cases, which has grown by 24,633 cases. 

Friday’s cases were largely contributed by the capital city of Jakarta, which saw 10,707 cases, followed by West Java with 8,905 cases, and Banten with 5,218 cases. 

Despite recording the highest number of confirmed cases, Jakarta also posted a high number of recoveries at 7,400. East Java saw the second highest recoveries with 2,869 and Banten with 1,917.

Jakarta also reported the most deaths caused by COVID-19 today with 39 cases, followed by Bali with 13, and Central Java with 12.
