Indonesia Logs 1,053 New COVID-19 Cases October 14th

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The National COVID-19 Task Force reported today, October 14, that there were 1,053 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

Based on data issued by the Health Ministry as of 12 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the daily number of infections was obtained from the results of the examination on 258,945 specimens. The new infections brought the total number of positive cases to 4,232,099.

Three provinces recorded the highest addition of positive cases above 100. They were Central Java with 156 new cases, Jakarta with 113 new cases, and West Java with 102 new cases.

The number of patients recovered throughout the archipelago also increased by 1,715 people, adding the total recovery numbers to 4,069,399. The province that reported the highest number of cured patients in a day was North Sumatra with 190 people.

Meanwhile, 37 more patients succumbed to the disease today. The country’s total death toll reached 142,848. Central Java contributed the highest daily number of COVID-19 deaths at seven cases.
