Indonesia Lifts Foreign Travel Restriction to Bali, Riau

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Indonesian government has decided to lift its foreign entry restriction to Bali and the Riau Islands. The country had limited tourist arrivals to just 19 countries to the two provinces as an effort to curb Covid-19 transmission.

“Tourism in the two regions has been opened to all foreign tourists. Foreign travelers must apply for a B211A Tourist Visit Visas with a travel company guarantor, not an individual,” Achmad Nur Saleh, sub-coordinator at the Directorate General of Immigration’s PR department, said on Friday, 4 February.

Achmad stated that the foreign tourists visiting Bali and Riau are also mandated to comply with all Covid procedures, including showing certificates that they are fully vaccinated and documents showing negative PCR test results.

Foreign tourists must also show proof of health insurance with a minimum claim amount of US$30.000, and show proof that they have paid their accommodations.

“It is also worth remembering that they are mandated to quarantine,” he said.
