Indonesia COVID-19 Cases Up by 1,301, East Java Reports 353

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – Indonesia reported 1,301 new COVID-19 cases today, July 3, pushing the total tally to 60,695. East Java province contributed the highest daily jump with 353 cases.

“Followed by South Sulawesi with 180 cases, and Jakarta with 140 cases,” said national COVID-19 mitigation task force spokesman Achmad Yurianto in today’s press conference published via the YouTube channel of BNPB.

The fourth region with the highest one-day hike of the novel coronavirus infection was Central Java with 134 new positive cases, followed by Bali with 66 cases.

Meanwhile, six regions did not report additional cases, namely Jambi, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, Lampung, and East Nusa Tenggara.

Based on the latest data as of July 3, 2020, Indonesia has 60,695 cases of COVID-19, with 27,568 recoveries and 3,036 fatalities.
