Health Ministry Holds COVID-19 Vaccination Simulation in Bogor

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The Health Ministry’s team conducted a simulation of COVID-19 vaccination in Tanah Sareal Community Health Center or Puskesmas in Bogor, Sunday, October 4, 2020.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Dedie A Rachim, said the city was ready to become one of the locations for the vaccination carried out by the central government.

“Tanah Sareal Puskesmas is ready to be chosen as one of the locations for the implementation of COVID-19 vaccine immunization,” said Bima.

According to him, health workers in the city have been ready to hold a mass vaccination and his side has prepared for the implementation, starting from the procedure, the management of people who will be vaccinated, and until the post-vaccination.

“We will set emergency routes and ambulances,” Bima added.

He explained that people will be asked to sit for about 30 minutes after getting the injection to see the reaction of the vaccine. If there is no reaction, they will be allowed to go home.

“But if within 30 minutes, there are symptoms or conditions, they will be taken to a hospital. We have prepared the ambulance.” Bima said.

The central government, he went on, planned to conduct COVID-19 vaccination in early 2021. Bogor City was waiting for further directions. “There will later be meetings and technical directions from the central government,” Bima said.
